About Journal of Soil and Groundwater Environment
The Journal of Soil and Groundwater Environment (J. Soil Groundwater Environ) is the official, peer-reviewed journal of the Korean Society of Soil and Groundwater Environment (KoSSGE). Established in 1996, the journal aims to contribute to social benefit by promoting the efficient development and proper conservation of environmental resources through scholarly publication. The journal also fosters communication among academia, industry, government, and non-governmental organizations involved in addressing soil and groundwater environmental challenges.
The journal accepts a wide range of manuscript types, including original research articles, review papers, technical notes, technical reports, discussions, and editorials. Its scope covers all aspects of soil and groundwater environments, including but not limited to contamination, remediation, hydrogeology, geochemistry, environmental monitoring, and related interdisciplinary topics. The journal is published bimonthly, with issues released in February, April, June, August, October and December.
Manuscript Submission
Manuscript should be submitted through the online-submission system available on the Journal’s homepage (submission.jsge.or.kr). All submissions must be accompanied by the Author’s Checklist and a signed Transfer of Copyright Statement.
Language & Peer-Reviewed Process
The manuscript may be submitted in either Korean or English. However, the title, abstract, and all figure and table captions must be written in English. All submitted manuscripts are subjected to peer-reviewed by three anonymous reviewers.
Index and Listed Databases
The Journal of Soil and Groundwater Environment is indexed in the Korean Citation Index (KCI), and all published articles are assigned DOIs through Crossref.
